Value at Risk (VaR)
Risk Management
A statistical measure of maximum probable loss in a portfolio over a specific period at a given confidence level. VaR quantifies downside risk for risk management.
Example:
A 95% VaR of $10,000 means 95% probability losses won't exceed $10,000.
